Unique Processing: Natural Sun-Drying

Harvesting: Carefully selected tender buds during the Qingming Festival in deep mountain forests
Withering: Entirely sun-dried without any artificial heat sources
Oxidation: Slow oxidation through natural sunlight and oxygen
Drying: Completely sun-dried to preserve the most original wild tea flavors

Flavor Characteristics

Taste: Light, refreshing, and pure
Aroma: Unique wild tea fragrance with floral and fruity notes
Tea Liquor: Crystal clear with brilliant color
Aftertaste: Sweet and long-lasting

Processing Highlights
Unlike traditional Dian Hong, Shai Hong’s processing is more primitive and natural. The entire production relies entirely on the natural environment, with oxidation levels influenced by sunlight, temperature, and humidity. Each batch is unique, making the production extremely challenging due to the lack of precise human control. Every tea leaf is truly a gift from nature.
Quality Features

Dry Leaves: Tightly twisted strips, glossy black with a unique reddish hue
Tea Liquor: Luminous ruby red, crystal clear
Aroma: Natural bouquet of flowers and fruits
Brewing Longevity: Maintains its fragrance beyond ten infusions

This Shai Hong tea is a living fossil of Yunnan’s ancient tea culture, perfectly illustrating the harmony between nature and tea. Each sip is a profound tribute to the most original tea-making traditions.

Longjing 龙井 is grown in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, which literally translates to "dragon well," Longjing tea was granted the status of imperial tea, in the Qing dynasty by the Kangxi Emperor. Longjing tea tastes sweet, mellow, and rounded. Pre-Qingming Longjing Pre-Qingming Longjing tea requires it to be produced from the first spring shoots prior to the Qingming Festival (Chinese farming calendar) on the 5th of April each year. There will usually be seasonal rain for a few days during the Qingming Festival. Indeed, after the rain, the temperature heats up, which accelerates the growth of the tea plant. When the tea bud gets too big, it starts to lose complexity in the brewed flavor, therefore, Pre-Qingming tea is considered better.
